Dennis and Jennifer have been married for thirty-eight years. They have six daughters, four sons-in-law and three grand-daughters with two more grandchildren expected in July. Kristen, Caleb and Kathleen and Abigail, Micah and Karen and Madelyn, Daniel and Kourtney, Duane and Kimberly and Andrea, and Kellie.
The Pyle family enjoys spending time together camping, fishing, hunting, playing volleyball, and many other outdoor family activities.
Senator Dennis Pyle represents Kansas’ 1st Senate district. Dennis Pyle served in the Kansas House prior to being elected to the Kansas Senate in 2004.
The 1st Senate district includes the following counties: Atchison, Brown, Doniphan, Jackson, Nemaha, and parts of Marshall, and Pottawatomie.
Dennis is a fourth generation grain and livestock farmer.
Dennis attended Hiawatha Schools. He attended Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, NE.
Dennis served on the Republican Party Platform Committee in 1998, is a past member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. 36 Highway Association, and is a member of Gideons International.
Dennis has served on various committees, including: Agriculture, Utilities, Taxation, Education, Natural Resources, Ethics and Elections, Local Government, Federal and State Affairs, the Joint Committee on Special Claims Against the State, the Joint Committee on Children’s Issues, and the Joint Committee on State and Tribal Relations, and others.
